Illuminating Mind and Soul - Lighting Psychology
Light, our only source of vision, was always present in the universe, but in the earliest time humans had no source of capturing light. For mankind, initially the only source of lighting for their homes were the daylight which used to find its way through openings like doors, windows, or ventilations. Later the first and foremost source of light, other than natural light, which they used as a source of vision at night, was fire which originated in the Neolithic period. Not only as a source of vision, but fire slowly became the basic source of life. From cooking, to lighting, to protection against wilds fire became a means of utmost importance.

As
we progress into the 21st century, light technology continues to evolve
rapidly. Smart lighting systems, based on LED technology, offer unprecedented
control and energy management. OLEDs (organic light-emitting diodes) have
opened up new avenues for flexible and efficient displays. Furthermore,
researchers are exploring cutting-edge fields such as quantum optics, promising
a future with unimaginable possibilities for communication and computation.
The history of light is an enthralling narrative of human curiosity, innovation, and understanding. From ancient flames to modern-day LEDs, light has shaped our societies, art, and science in profound ways. As we continue to explore and harness the power of light, we open doors to a future where illumination will not only brighten our lives but also lead us to groundbreaking discoveries yet to come.
